2026 SWITCHING GUIDE

A Service Fusion Alternative for Small Crews — With the Honest Math

Credit first: Service Fusion's flat pricing with unlimited users is real, and at ten-plus techs the per-head math is genuinely good. The catch is the entry price — $245/mo month-to-month — which is team economics. If you're a one-to-four person shop, you're paying for seats you can't fill. FSMsync is flat-priced too, starting at $29/mo.

Full disclosure: we build FSMsync. Every price on this page comes from the vendors' own public pricing pages, verified July 17, 2026, month-to-month against month-to-month — judge the math yourself.

Flat vs flat — two very different entry prices

Both companies price flat with no per-user meter. The difference is where the ladder starts and how seats are allowed.

Plan Month-to-month Billed annually Users included QuickBooks sync
Service Fusion Starter $245/mo $208/mo Unlimited
Service Fusion Plus $382/mo $325/mo Unlimited
Service Fusion Pro $627/mo $533/mo Unlimited
FSMsync Solo / Team / Business $29 / $69 / $129 — (mtm only) 1 / 2–4 / 5+

Service Fusion includes QuickBooks integration and text messaging alerts on every plan, and its pricing page states no contract requirements — both to its credit. FSMsync's tiers have seat allowances, not unlimited users — we'd rather state the ceiling than pretend there isn't one. All prices verified July 17, 2026.

Who each one is actually for

One to four people: the $245 floor is the whole story

A solo operator on Service Fusion Starter pays 8.4× FSMsync Solo's price for unlimited seats they can't fill. A three-person crew pays $245 against FSMsync Team's $69 flat. At this size, the feature you're really buying from a $245 entry is headroom you don't have yet.

Five-plus: closer call, still half price

FSMsync Business is $129/mo flat for 5+ users — roughly half of Starter month-to-month. Service Fusion counters with unlimited seats and a deeper team feature set. If you're heading past ten techs fast, their model deserves the look; if you're a five-to-eight person shop watching overhead, the $1,392/yr difference is real money.

What we don't have

FSMsync has no two-way texting inbox and no customer self-serve online booking, and our tiers cap seats where Service Fusion doesn't. If unlimited users today is the requirement, they're the flat-price incumbent that genuinely offers it.

The switch math, both framings

FSMsync is $29/mo (Solo), $69/mo (Team, 2–4 users), or $129/mo (Business, 5+) — month-to-month, every feature on every tier. Against Service Fusion Starter:

$2,592/yr
solo: FSMsync Solo $29/mo vs. Starter at $245/mo
$2,112/yr
2–4 person crew: FSMsync Team $69/mo vs. Starter at $245/mo
$1,392/yr
5+ crew: FSMsync Business $129/mo vs. Starter at $245/mo (vs. its annual-billed $208/mo: $948/yr)

Included at every tier: scheduling, estimates with AI drafting, invoicing, payments through your own Square account, QuickBooks Online sync, automated reminders, CSV customer import.

What we don't have, plainly: unlimited seats, a two-way texting inbox, and customer self-serve online booking. If those are must-haves today, Service Fusion earns its price.

Your customers and open balances come with you

Your customer list comes over

Export your customers from Service Fusion to CSV, and FSMsync's import wizard maps the columns and brings them in. There's no one-click converter, and we won't pretend otherwise: it's CSV-based, and it works.

Open invoices come too

Unpaid balances import as clearly-marked imported invoices — there to get collected, and kept out of your revenue reporting so your numbers start clean.

Or we'll just do it with you

Send us the exports and we'll do the migration together — you get a working account back, not a to-do list.

Service Fusion switching questions, answered straight

Is Service Fusion good value?
For big crews, genuinely yes: $245/month month-to-month ($208 billed annually) with unlimited users, QuickBooks integration, and text alerts on every plan means the per-tech math gets better with every hire. For a 1–4 person shop, the same price is team economics — you're paying for seat capacity you can't fill.
What's the cheapest Service Fusion alternative with QuickBooks sync?
Of the tools compared here (verified July 17, 2026, month-to-month): FSMsync Solo at $29/month, then Kickserv Start at $60/month, then Jobber Connect at $139/month. For a 5+ person crew, FSMsync Business is $129/month flat — about half of Service Fusion Starter.
What do you give up leaving Service Fusion for FSMsync?
Unlimited seats — FSMsync uses flat tiers with seat allowances (Solo 1, Team 2–4, Business 5+), not unlimited users. FSMsync also has no two-way texting inbox and no customer self-serve online booking. If you're running ten-plus techs, Service Fusion's model may simply fit better.
Can I bring my customers and open invoices to FSMsync?
Yes. Export your customer list to CSV and FSMsync's import wizard brings it in; unpaid invoices import as clearly-marked open balances that stay out of your revenue metrics. There's no one-click converter — it's CSV-based, and we'll do the migration with you.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No. FSMsync is month-to-month with no annual contract and no setup fee, and you can cancel anytime, self-serve, from your billing settings. Card payments run through your own Square account at Square's standard rates — we never hold your money. (Fair note: Service Fusion's pricing page also states no contract requirements.)
