2026 PRICING GUIDE

Field Service Software Without Per-User Fees (2026)

Per-user fees are the growth tax of this industry: hire a helper, pay the software company. Two pricing shapes honestly avoid them — flat tiers with seat allowances, and unlimited-user flat pricing — and this page shows both, with verified numbers. FSMsync is the first kind, not the second, and we'll be precise about that.

Full disclosure: we build FSMsync. Every price on this page comes from the vendors' own public pricing pages, verified July 17, 2026, month-to-month against month-to-month — judge the math yourself.

Who charges per seat — and who doesn't

"Users included" and "extra-user fee" are the two numbers that decide what a hire costs you in software. Both come from each vendor's public pricing page.

Tool / plan Month-to-month Pricing shape Users included Extra-user fee
FSMsync Solo / Team / Business $29 / $69 / $129 Flat tiers, seat allowances 1 / 2–4 / 5+ None — move up a tier instead
Kickserv Start / Run / Scale $60 / $119 / $199 Flat tiers, seat allowances 5 / 10 / 20 Not listed
Service Fusion Starter $245 Flat, unlimited users Unlimited None
Jobber (all plans) $49–$499 Tiers + per-seat 1 / 5 / 10 / 15 $29/mo each
Housecall Pro MAX $329 Tiers + per-seat (MAX) 8 $35/mo each
Upvoit Growth $20/user Pure per-user Every seat is $20/mo
Field Ascend Pro $13/user (min 3 = $39) Pure per-user, seat minimum 3 minimum Every seat is $13/mo

Jobber's advertised $29/mo is Core billed annually ($49/mo month-to-month) — full Jobber math here. Housecall Pro Basic (1 user) and Essentials (5 users) don't list an add-user option at all — only MAX does. "Not listed" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't show it; we don't guess. All prices verified July 17, 2026.

Which shape is cheapest for your crew size

One person: flat beats everything

Solo, the flat-tier tools win outright — FSMsync Solo is $29/mo with QuickBooks sync and automated reminders included. Per-user tools look cheap solo (Upvoit $20) but check what's actually listed on their pricing pages before assuming feature parity.

Two to four people: this is where per-user pricing bites

A three-person crew on pure per-user pricing pays for every seat, every month, forever. On FSMsync Team it's $69/mo flat — techs two through four cost $0 extra. On Jobber, a fourth seat beyond a plan's allowance is $29/mo each; on Housecall Pro MAX it's $35/mo each. That's $348–420 per tech, per year, just for the login.

Ten or more: Service Fusion's unlimited model earns its price

Honest credit: Service Fusion's $245/mo with genuinely unlimited users is the real no-per-user-fee incumbent, and at 10+ techs its per-head math gets good. At one to four techs it's a hard sell against $29–69 flat — but if you're growing fast toward a big crew, it deserves your shortlist.

Flat tiers, seat allowances, stated plainly

FSMsync is a flat monthly price per tier: Solo $29 (1 user) → Team $69 (2–4 users) → Business $129 (5+ users). Not unlimited — we'd rather tell you the ceiling than pretend there isn't one. Within your tier, added techs cost $0; outgrowing a tier means one predictable step up, not a per-head meter. Every feature is on every tier: scheduling, estimates with AI drafting, invoicing, payments through your own Square account, QuickBooks sync, automated reminders.

What we don't have, plainly: a two-way texting inbox, and customer self-serve online booking. If those are must-haves today, they exist elsewhere — mostly on the per-seat meters.

Per-user pricing questions, answered straight

What does "no per-user fees" actually mean?
There are three pricing shapes in field service software: per-user pricing (every seat costs money, e.g. $13–35 per user per month), flat tiers with seat allowances (one price covers a set number of users), and unlimited-user flat pricing. "No per-user fees" honestly describes the last two — but check the seat allowance, because a flat tier still has a ceiling.
Which field service tools have no per-user fees?
Verified July 17, 2026: FSMsync (flat tiers — Solo $29 for 1 user, Team $69 for 2–4, Business $129 for 5+), Kickserv (flat tiers with seat allowances — Start $60 for 5 users), and Service Fusion (genuinely unlimited users, from $245/month month-to-month). Jobber charges $29/month per extra user on every plan, and Housecall Pro MAX lists $35/month per added user.
Is FSMsync unlimited users?
No — and we'd rather say so plainly. FSMsync is a flat monthly price per tier with seat allowances: Solo is 1 user, Team covers 2–4, Business covers 5+. Within your tier, added techs cost $0. If you want truly unlimited seats at one price, Service Fusion offers that — at $245/month month-to-month.
What do per-user fees cost in practice?
From vendors' own pricing pages, verified July 17, 2026: Jobber lists "Add users for $29/mo each" on every plan; Housecall Pro MAX lists "Add users for $35/mo each"; Upvoit is $20 per user per month; Field Ascend is $13 per user with a 3-user minimum. A second tech at those rates costs $156–420 a year before the plan price.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No. FSMsync is month-to-month with no annual contract and no setup fee, and you can cancel anytime, self-serve, from your billing settings. Card payments run through your own Square account at Square's standard rates — we never hold your money.
